Job Title: Hydrographic Surveyor

Stoltd Partner Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Hydrographic Surveyor to join our team in Angola.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Hydrographic Surveyor with a strong background in survey calibrations and a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical proficiency and practical experience, with a strong understanding of software like MBES and/or INS for surveys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the selection of survey equipment prior to project commencement
  • Perform navigation and positioning duties as required in line with project deliverables
  • Ensure integrity and functionality of the survey spread is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate vessel survey folders, handover notes, and surveying logs during operational periods and compilation of project survey reports
  • QC of reports with Inspection Manager
  • Supervise and QC data from additional Surveyors
  • Appraise Survey personnel performance in the execution of the work such that any training requirements are identified in accordance with the Company's competency scheme
  • Review Survey procedures for currency, coverage, and relevance for feedback to management
  • Participate in conducting risk assessments
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant technical developments, working practices in line with industry and legislative guidelines
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong background in survey calibrations
  • Proficiency in software like MBES and/or INS for surveys
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English is necessary, proficiency in French is an asset
