Data Scientist for Glycemic Modeling

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team at the Université de Lille as a postdoctoral researcher in the field of diabetes and exercise. The successful candidate will work on developing mathematical and biophysical models to predict glycemic fluctuations in individuals with type 1 diabetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mathematical and biophysical models to predict glycemic fluctuations
  • Analyze large datasets from continuous glucose monitoring systems, accelerometers, and other sensors
  • Collaborate with researchers from the URePSSS laboratory and the Montreal Clinical Research Institute
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier journals
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, biophysics, computer science)
  • Strong background in data science and machine learning
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Working Environment

The postdoctoral researcher will be based at the Université de Lille, working closely with Prof. Elsa Heyman and Dr. Pierre Morel. The team will collaborate with researchers from the CRISTAL laboratory and the PROMD team at the Institute for Clinical Research in Montreal.
