Citigroup Inc. is seeking a VP of Trading and Risk Management to join its Pan European Cash Equities team in Paris. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for trading a variety of cash equity products, growing the desk's revenue through profitable inventory management and market making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Trading Pan European Cash Equities as a Direct Markets trader, with a focus on growing the desk's profitability and size.
- Effectively risk managing the trading book and overseeing the risk of other traders within the team.
- Liaising with sales to develop the franchise, anticipating client demand in each respective product/market.
- Using existing trading dashboards to improve risk management and identify opportunities for revenue generation.
- Working closely with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
Requirements include:
- Significant trading experience in Cash Equities or closely related products, with a strong revenue generating track record.
- Experience working closely with Sales, Research, and other organizations across Markets to provide market liquidity and help build the Citi franchise.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, and closing technicalities.
