Job Title: Energy Sourcing Specialist

ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel producer, is seeking a highly skilled Energy Sourcing Specialist to join its European Purchasing Organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing electricity, natural gas, and industrial gases, as well as developing energy projects for the group.

The Energy Department is responsible for sourcing energy directly on markets or through bilateral contracts for the European perimeter. The team provides necessary support and expertise to ArcelorMittal's steel mills worldwide in their energy projects.

The Long-Term Contracts & Energy Projects team is responsible for purchasing Electricity and Natural Gas Long Term bilateral contracts, developing sourcing of Renewables through Power Purchase Agreements and partnerships, and valorizing part of siderurgical gas to produce electricity or through innovative decarbonization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Renewable Energy markets analysis
  • Sourcing or project development (supply contract negotiation, power plant projects)
  • Support Co-development scheme deployment for ArcelorMittal's land valorization
  • Be the point of contact with internal stakeholders and suppliers or partners
Requirements:
  • Professional experience 5 to 10 years in energy field
  • Masters degree in Engineering or Economics
  • Fluent in English with minimum one European language
  • Experience in managing transversal projects
  • Dynamic, persistent, working autonomously and taking initiative
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to build business models
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally within a multi-cultural environment, team player
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Keen commercial sense
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Office Databases (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). VBA or R would be a plus
