ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel producer, is seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Sourcing Specialist to join its Energy Department. As a key member of the Long-Term Contracts & Energy Projects team, you will be responsible for purchasing electricity and natural gas long-term bilateral contracts, developing sourcing of renewables through power purchase agreements and partnerships, and valorizing part of siderurgical gas to produce electricity or through innovative decarbonization projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Renewable Energy Markets Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market analyses to identify opportunities for cost optimization and energy consumption reduction.
- Analyze country-specific market conditions, including main players, market organization, and regulation.
- Develop a deep understanding of supplier strategies and competitor activity.
- Sourcing and Project Development:
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and terms.
- Develop and implement business models to challenge quotes received or in case of joint venture models.
- Support the deployment of co-development schemes for ArcelorMittal's land valorization.
- Act as the primary point of contact with internal stakeholders and suppliers or partners.
- 5-10 years of experience in the energy field, either in an utility, producer, or big energy consumer company.
- Masters degree in Engineering or Economics.
- Fluent in English with a minimum of one European language (German, French, or Spanish).
- Proven experience in managing transversal projects.
- Dynamic, persistent, and able to work autonomously with a keen commercial sense.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to build business models.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to interact effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Proficiency in Office Databases (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with VBA or R a plus.
