Our childcare professionals are the cornerstone of our guest experience, and your leadership will be essential in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
As a vital team member, your insights and expertise will significantly contribute to the success of our seasonal operations.
While this role is primarily managerial, there may be occasions when direct involvement with the childcare team is necessary, particularly during peak periods or in the event of staff shortages.
Your commitment to providing an exceptional holiday experience for guests of all ages will be paramount.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare services, enhancing the overall guest experience.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the childcare team, providing guidance and support throughout their employment.
- Utilize feedback systems to communicate effectively with families regarding their children's experiences.
- Create a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere in all interactions.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of resort activities and facilities available to families.
- Proactively address guest needs and identify opportunities to enhance their holiday experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient resort operations while managing costs.
- Engage with parents or guardians professionally before and during childcare services.
- Oversee inventory management of childcare supplies and resources.
- Monitor cleanliness and health and safety standards in play areas.
- Foster positive relationships with key suppliers, including chalet owners and ski schools.
- Work closely with UK colleagues, especially in Customer Services and Accounts, to address information requests promptly.
- Manage company resources effectively, including vehicles and IT equipment.
- Conduct regular checks on staff accommodations and address any concerns.
- Perform daily assessments of childcare facilities and provide training as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of team working hours in compliance with legal requirements.
Your team should view you as both a supportive confidant and a respected authority figure.
Qualifications:- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, NNEB, CACHE, BTEC, RGN, RSCN, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in childcare, particularly with young children.
- Possession of an industry-recognized First Aid certification is preferred.
- Experience driving in Europe, particularly with larger vehicles.
- Strong self-motivation and organizational skills.
- Understanding of the differing needs of adults and children on holiday, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Knowledge of snow sports is advantageous.
- A collaborative team player with basic French language skills preferred.
- Availability for the entire season is essential.
- Successful candidates will undergo background checks and reference verification.
- Applicants must be 21 years or older due to insurance requirements.
