Senior Fabric Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fabric Developer to join our team at Canada Goose Holdings Inc. This is a senior-level role that requires a deep understanding of textiles and non-textile manufacturing technologies, as well as a passion for sustainable product development.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Creative Director and Paris Atelier: Work closely with the Creative Director and Paris Atelier to develop and source seasonal fabrics that align with the brand's essence and collection aesthetics.
- Drive Fabric Development Process: Lead the fabric development process from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with design, quality, and production standards.
- Oversee Sampling and Prototyping: Oversee the sampling and prototyping processes to ensure accurate product representation in collaboration with the Product Development team.
- Maintain Relationships: Maintain and cultivate strong relationships between cross-functional teams in Paris and Toronto, finished goods vendors, and fabric suppliers for timely material deliveries.
- Manage Color Development: Manage color development and lab dip approvals to ensure accurate color representation.
- Evaluate Test Reports: Evaluate internal and 3rd-party test reports to ensure performance and durability criteria are met.
- Publish Material Standard Sheets: Maintain and publish material standard sheets in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for all new developments.
- Act as Primary Contact: Act as the primary contact for color, material availability, and stock-related inquiries.
- Partner with Domestic Raw Materials Sourcing Team: Partner with the domestic Raw Materials Sourcing team to onboard new vendors for Canadian production.
- Partner with Inline Materials Research and Innovation Team: Partner with the Inline Materials Research and Innovation team to facilitate seamless development of crucial materials into the inline materials toolbox.
- Minimum 4+ Years' Experience: Minimum of 4+ years' experience working with fabric suppliers and 3rd-party testing facilities.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep technical knowledge and understanding of textiles and non-textile manufacturing technologies.
- Excellent Organization Skills: Excellent organization skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a high level of flexibility to adjust to change within a fast-paced, creative team environment.
- Fluent Language Skills: Fluent French and English (verbal and written) skills.
- Previous Experience with PLM System: Previous experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Approximately 20% International and Domestic Travel: Approximately 20% international and domestic travel required for CD meetings and tradeshows.
