Master Thesis: Spatial-Temporal Pattern Analysis in High-Resolution Microscopy

il y a 4 semaines

Paris, Île-de-France France - BioImaging Temps plein
Project Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to work on a Master Thesis project focused on accurate quantification of spatial-temporal patterns from high-resolution microscopy data.

Research Background

Many biological processes exhibit spatial or spatial-temporal patterns, which are crucial for understanding gene expression, cell signaling, and other biological phenomena. However, analyzing these patterns from high-resolution microscopy data is a challenging task due to the large amounts of noisy data generated.

Project Objectives

The proposed project aims to develop fast, scalable, and efficient tools for spatial/spatial-temporal correlation and cluster analysis. The candidate will work on implementing existing key methods and validating the tools using experimental data. The project will be conducted at the LOCCO group, UMR 168, Institut Curie, a highly interdisciplinary team with a strong focus on publishing software works in high-impact journals.

Required Skills

The candidate should have basic mathematics and programming skills. Recommended skills include signal and image processing, probability and statistics, algorithms, and quantitative biophysics.

Benefits

The project offers the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge research topic, develop new skills, and collaborate with a highly interdisciplinary team. The candidate will have the possibility to publish their results in high-quality journals and release open-source software publicly.
