Lead Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Financial Controller to join our team at the AXA Group. As a key member of our Financial Controlling department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
About the RoleIn this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for leading a team of financial reporting specialists, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, and developing and implementing financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Your expertise will be instrumental in providing insightful analysis and recommendations to drive business decisions, as well as maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Finance Leadership Team, Business Units, and other departments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of 20+ Financial Controllers and accountants, guiding them in the production of high-quality financial reports and analysis.
- Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to develop and implement financial reporting processes, driving improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Communicate complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring they have the insights needed to make informed business decisions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial controlling, with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting frameworks (e.g., IFRS17).
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of financial reporting specialists.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.
