Michelin is seeking an experienced Environmental Energy Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability and environmental responsibility of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the creation and updating of group guidelines and requirements related to environmental and energy management.
- Develop and implement the zone's strategic plan for its domain, including a roadmap for sustainability and environmental responsibility.
- Establish and maintain a regulatory oversight process to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Monitor the level of compliance of regional entities with laws, regulations, and Michelin requirements.
- Represent Michelin's interests and anticipate potential risks or opportunities through participation in external guidance or professional networks.
- Provide expertise to sites and entities in the area on risk analyses, including SE advice when requested on projects.
- Ensure inter-site alignment of tools and methods, particularly through calibration procedures.
- Define and implement working methods and tools to ensure risk management, compliance, and SE performance.
- Capture good practices and lessons learned from events and implement cross-functional actions.
- Regularly update the SE risk mapping and ensure the level of control of these risks is at the expected level.
- Communicate reliable, representative, and timely indicators.
- Participate in inter-zone networks and coordinate intra-zone networks to ensure coherence of actions and support the Group's SE performance.
- Contribute to the SE communication plan of the zone.
- Carry out audits and internal control tests in entities of the zone and analyze performance.
- Ensure the Management Review of the area (SMEP) is carried out annually.
- Measure the level of business skills and availability of field staff and implement an upgrade plan if necessary.
- Provide technical support to field staff to develop their skills, including training modules, coaching, and mentoring.
- Option A: SE coordination in the country - If necessary, coordinate the monitoring of compliance of sites with laws and regulations of the country and represent the interests of the country's legal entity before authorities and stakeholders.
- Option B: SE representation in the entity - Where applicable, be the SE focal point of the entity, taking into account SE issues in orientations, objectives, investments, and strategic plans.
