About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and System Administrator to join our team at Universal Medica. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Analyze user needs and optimize network performance, ensuring high-quality, fast, and secure connectivity.
  • Provide technical support to users, resolving network-related issues and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Install and configure hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and virtualization environments.
  • Implement and manage backup systems, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Manage our email server (Office 365) and ensure seamless communication.
Security and Compliance
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of security procedures, including access controls and password management.
  • Evaluate and mitigate security risks, ensuring the integrity of our IT systems and data.
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential issues, preventing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of our business continuity plan.
Documentation and Quality
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including procedures and user guides.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on new technologies and systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in network and system administration.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization (VMware), and network technologies (LAN, WAN, MAN, routing, switching).
  • Experience with database management systems (relational, NoSQL).
