Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

The City of St. Cloud is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network infrastructure solutions to meet the city's growing needs
  • Maintain and optimize network hardware, software, and communication links
  • Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Provide end-user training and support
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Project lead for the planning and implementation of all Network IT Projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience working in a government or public sector environment
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and technical procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Pix Firewalls, Remote Access/VPN, and Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and public/private sector contacts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of principles and methods applied to information technology infrastructure, planning, implementation, and management
  • Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing
  • Extensive knowledge of the methods, tools, and techniques applied to diverse IT Support in complex multi-platform networked environments
