Our legal team is seeking a Corporate Legal Advisor to deliver legal support to our Operations & Services Division, focusing on Construction, Maintenance, and Distribution activities throughout the Voltalia organization.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a qualified and seasoned commercial/contracts attorney to join a thriving and expanding renewable energy enterprise, contributing to our international vision and mission for sustainable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Representing the company in responding to requests for proposals from third-party clients.
  2. Conducting legal analysis, drafting, and negotiating both national and international agreements related to the construction and operation of renewable energy facilities (EPC, O&M).
  3. Acting on behalf of the company to assess and mitigate risks, drafting and negotiating contracts pertinent to distribution activities, including agency, distribution, and partnership agreements.
  4. Representing the company in legal disputes; providing counsel on issues such as claims from customers and suppliers, pre-litigation, and litigation matters.
  5. Offering comprehensive support for the company's legal needs; drafting correspondence, policies, contract templates, and legal documents; ensuring accurate legal guidance is provided and compliance with current local laws and regulations is maintained.
  6. Staying informed about changes and developments in case law, contract law, liability, public procurement, and local legislation.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience.
  • Background in Projects (Construction & Maintenance).
  • Strong understanding of contract law and construction law.
  • Familiarity with common law principles.
  • Proficiency in French or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English.
