Position Overview
As a Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the retail team and ensuring exceptional service delivery to our customers. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Leading the team by providing consistent guidance and support to uphold service excellence for every customer interaction.
- Ensuring adherence to established customer service protocols within our operational framework.
- Offering ongoing feedback and coaching to both management and team members based on performance metrics and observed behaviors during team briefings and individual assessments.
- Achieving set service level agreements for in-store services and order fulfillment.
- Assisting in customer outreach initiatives by promoting loyalty programs and credit offerings.
Operational Responsibilities
- Implementing visual merchandising standards, maintaining store presentation, and managing pricing strategies effectively.
- Overseeing the execution of weekly pricing updates, promotional activities, and Point-of-Sale materials in alignment with operational schedules.
- Leading the execution of standard operating procedures across the store.
- Managing seasonal transitions in accordance with marketing strategies.
- Responsible for achieving annual loss reduction goals through team training, loss prevention strategies, and stringent inventory management.
- Supervising the annual inventory preparation process.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies regarding loss prevention, cash handling, audits, and health and safety regulations.
- Designing or supervising the creation of effective weekly operational plans for both support and sales activities.
Training and Development
- Mentoring the store and management teams, fostering their growth through clear expectations, communication, and ongoing support.
- Developing training programs and conducting annual performance evaluations for management and their teams; addressing performance gaps through targeted coaching.
- Communicating effectively with the team, leading briefings, meetings, and coaching sessions to keep everyone informed on relevant topics.
- Participating in training initiatives and ensuring adherence to training protocols within designated timelines.
- Facilitating and leading team meetings.
- Ensuring a positive customer experience and addressing any inquiries from customers.
- Developing and managing recruitment strategies to maintain a fully staffed team.
- Creating succession plans through continuous training and development initiatives.
Leadership Role
- Acting as a representative of the brand, promoting our store and its values both internally and externally.
- Inspiring the team and enhancing performance through recognition programs and positive reinforcement.
- Meeting performance management expectations, including providing constructive feedback and implementing disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Upholding a fair and consistent disciplinary process.
- Fostering a positive and motivating work environment that is safe, inclusive, and empowering.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop both store and management teams through effective communication and support.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and managing daily and weekly operational plans.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Exceptional training and mentoring capabilities.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail sales is required.
- A passion for retail, coupled with enthusiasm and a drive for success.
