We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at The Porter House Hotel, a stylish sanctuary in the heart of Sydney's CBD. As a Barista, you will be responsible for serving food and beverage in an efficient and pleasant manner, ensuring excellent product delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve food and beverage: Prepare and serve food and beverage items to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service: Ensure that all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Clean and maintain all equipment and stock, ensuring that the workspace is tidy and organized at all times.
- Operate point-of-sale system: Process all charges associated with the service of food and beverage on the cashiering system, accurately handling cash and credit transactions.
- Perform opening and closing duties: Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and closing down the bar, restocking supplies, and performing any necessary cleaning tasks.
- Report maintenance issues: Promptly report any maintenance work required in the proximity of the outlet to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Minimum 1-2 years F&B experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.
- Strong Barista skills: Proficiency in operating espresso machines, pour-over equipment, and other coffee-related equipment, with a focus on delivering high-quality beverages.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage safety standards: Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Demonstrated competency operating POS: Experience operating a point-of-sale system, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Friendly and positive attitude: A warm and welcoming demeanor, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with guests and colleagues.
