Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Regulatory Affairs Associate to join our team. This permanent position is integral to our operations, focusing on compliance and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough analyses of the regulatory environment to identify pertinent publications and trends.
- Evaluating regulatory modifications to determine their implications for the organization.
- Coordinating and executing impact assessments and ensuring timely implementation of regulatory requirements.
- Facilitating the regulatory change process to guarantee proper assessment and execution of changes.
- Assigning regulatory changes to appropriate individuals or teams for further evaluation and implementation.
- Providing expert guidance on regulatory implementations, including processes and policies.
- Engaging in regulatory projects and committees to support compliance initiatives.
- Updating senior management on significant regulatory developments and trends.
- Promoting awareness of regulatory obligations and supervisory expectations within the organization.
Support Functions
- Assisting the Head of Regulatory Affairs in executing the strategic agenda related to regulatory issues.
- Advising on the integration of changes in relevant company policies.
- Coordinating communications and filings with regulatory bodies.
- Facilitating regular reporting on Regulatory Affairs activities and developments.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a proactive and service-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments. Key qualifications include:
- A law degree (minimum Master’s level).
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in regulatory affairs or related fields.
- Experience in translating regulations into internal processes and policies.
- Project management experience in interdisciplinary environments.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and the financial regulatory framework.
- Ability to deliver comprehensive solutions and implement processes that align with business needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French and Dutch is a plus.
- Demonstrated teamwork, focus, and work ethic.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- A willingness to engage with diverse topics and stakeholders.
