About the Role

The Financial and Accounting Manager will be part of the Recettes et Recouvrement team at INRIA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the regularity control of the institute's revenues, allowing for the accounting treatment of receipts, advance receipts, accounting requests, and assets.
  • Send invoices.
  • Verify financial justification documents.
  • Participate in the settlement of advance accounts in collaboration with the General Accounting Service of the Accounting Agency.
  • Follow and serve the receipt visa tables.
  • Control decisions on reversals to partners in the context of research contracts.
  • Ensure amicable and contentious recovery of institute claims.
  • Control expenditure reports on research contracts intended to justify expenses to project financiers.
  • Ensure the follow-up of accounts allocated to the service's activity perimeter.
  • Establish activity summaries upon request.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Public Law and understanding of the functioning of public establishments.
  • Knowledge of general accounting (accounting imputation, receivable or advance product…).
  • Knowledge of recovery procedures, including execution procedures.
  • Understanding of financial management.
  • English language skills.

Skills

  • Practical use of common software (databases, word processing, spreadsheet).
  • Ability to manage priorities and respect deadlines.
  • Rigour and reliability in implementing procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to different tools and procedures and their evolution.
  • Ability to write (correspondence, email, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze a contract and its legal and financial provisions.

Personal Qualities

  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Sense of contact and communication for collaborative work with centre managers.
  • Proactivity and diligence in recovery actions.
