Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Specialist to join our team at Airbus Helicopters in Marignane, France. As a key member of our Customs department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and facilitating the import and export of goods.

As a Customs Specialist, you will work closely with our international teams, including those in Germany, Spain, China, and the United States, as well as with customs specialists from other Airbus divisions. Your primary responsibility will be to support our French customs manager in responding to requests from external and internal stakeholders, ensuring a smooth and efficient customs process.

Our team is part of a 'competence center' within Finance, providing support to all group functions. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging tasks, including managing import and export daily activities, supporting customs brokers and internal departments, and checking KPIs and reporting on activities and costs.

Your Challenges:

You will contribute to the following main activities:

  • Manage import and export daily activities for Spares, Repair, and Industry flows.
  • Support customs brokers and Airbus internal departments.
  • Check monthly KPIs, report on activities and costs.
  • Be in contact with customs authorities for control in first level.
  • Check and give instructions for special customs regimes.
  • Find solutions to resolve import and export litigation.
  • Participate in the operational weekly meeting.
  • Draft customs quality documentation for internal and AEO renewal audits.

Business travel:

Your Profile:

Your background:

  • You bring several years of customs knowledge and extensive experience in customs.

Your hard skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent network in the customs area.
  • Experience in customs systems, e.g., GTS from SAP.
  • Knowledge of logistic, transport, and export control.
  • Ideal experience in the aviation industry.
  • Experience in Google Workspace.

Your soft skills:

  • Confident in reading and understanding complex documentation and creating legal documents.
  • 100% compliant with current Ethic & Compliance rules.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a transnational team.
  • Ability to convince stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Reliable and autonomous person.
  • Used to taking risks and making decisions.

Your language skills:

  • French at negotiation level.
  • English at intermediate level.
  • Spanish is a plus.
