Job Summary

The Director, Global Distribution is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of key distribution centers. This role will drive enhanced global distribution, warehousing, logistics, and compliance processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global distribution strategy that aligns with company goals, regulatory requirements, and supply chain objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of a continuous improvement strategy of warehousing operations, distribution systems, and logistics processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Lead and develop a global distribution team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for the performance of each distribution center, ensuring daily metric standards are maintained and providing corrective action plans if not.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement function to negotiate and maintain long-term contracts with 3PL partners.
  • Ensure global distribution activities comply with regulations and company policies related to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and manage risks related to distribution and logistics.
  • Develop and maintain robust contingency plans for distribution disruptions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, business administration, or other relevant field.
  • Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FDA regulations and other National and International regulations and standards.
  • Familiarity with WMS and ERP systems, Oracle preferred.
  • Strong background in continuous improvement, analytical skills, and problem-solving.
  • Solid strategic thinking and operational skills, good judgment, and maturity to challenge the status quo.
