Job Summary
UNESCO is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the Division of Internal Oversight Services. The successful candidate will assist in conducting audits, investigations, and evaluations of the Organization's activities, including field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and delivering internal audits, investigations, and evaluations of the Organization's activities.
- Support the development of strategies for safeguarding and protecting the Organization's interests in pursuit of its goals and objectives.
- Work closely with the Audit, Investigation, and Evaluation teams to gather audit evidence, analyze financial and other data, and contribute to the development of internal methodology, tools, and techniques.
- Assist in drafting documents and communications related to cases under investigation, including investigation plans, witness statements, and investigation reports.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director or the Head of Internal Audit.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a graduate programme (Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent) or have recently graduated with a Master's degree or PhD (or second degree as defined above).
- Excellent command of English or French, with a working knowledge of the other language (English or French) an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
