Job Title: Senior Instrumentation Engineer - Control Command Team Lead

As the operational team leader within the Control Command business area, specializing in instrumentation, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Establishing Engineering and 'Materials & Works' budgets
  • Designing and sizing Control Command installations
  • Writing technical specifications in instrumentation
  • Developing technical documents
  • Preparing terms of reference and analyzing supplier offers
  • Verifying documents and monitoring/validation of supplier detailed studies
  • Carrying out, analyzing, and verifying technical interfaces with other disciplines
  • Technical supervision of engineering teams
  • Managing the technical aspects of study subcontracting
  • Providing technical expertise to project teams

You are also responsible for ensuring the quality, cost, and timeliness of technical deliverables from your team.

On a daily basis, your tasks involve:

  • Technical discussions with team members and subcontractors/suppliers, decision-making, building and managing the workload plan, task scheduling, managing hours spent to share with the Project team; reporting to the team, Project, and Section Manager, technical expertise, managing changes and evolutions.

Periodically, you will be required to give technical presentations to other teams in the business, participate in Control Command Working Groups for knowledge sharing and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality technical projects
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to improve project efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
  • Ensure compliance with Orano's technical standards and procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in instrumentation engineering and team leadership
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in instrumentation and control systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
