Our Future Environment

Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has won a contract to build a new section of the E18-E39 urban motorway in Kristiansand, Norway. The project aims to increase the capacity of the main interchange and involves the construction of a 1.4 km 2x2 lane motorway, including 12 structures and the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal.

This contract reinforces Eiffage's position in Norway, where the company is currently working on design-build projects for the E18 motorway.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for delivering roadworks and M&E tasks safely, within budget and program, ensuring quality in conformity with contractual requirements.
  • Member of the project management committee.
  • Contribution to developing a safety culture on site, promoting a genuine commitment to safety from all personnel involved in construction activities.
  • Monitoring the development of the design and ensuring coordination between designers and production teams.
  • Leading the procurement process for roadworks and M&E tasks.
  • Defining the organization chart of the construction team and liaising with HR to mobilize and demobilize personnel.
  • Ensuring coordination and follow-up of construction activities to meet contractual milestones.
  • Managing subcontractors within the scope of roadworks and M&E tasks.
  • Own budget for roadworks and M&E tasks, with a follow-up structure to ensure easy-to-understand monthly cost control reviews.
  • Defining the means necessary for the supervision of testing and commissioning.
  • Interface with the client and third parties to prepare the final stages of the project.
  • Planning and organizing the guarantee period.

Requirements

  • Engineering discipline degree.
  • At least 8 years' experience in large civil engineering projects.
