Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Interpreter to facilitate communication between healthcare professionals and patients who speak Pashto and Dari. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive quality care and understand their medical information.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and clear interpretation during patient consultations, assessments, orientations, and follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and understanding of medical procedures and instructions.
- Participate in outreach activities and health education initiatives aimed at serving the Pashto and Dari speaking community.
- Contribute to a welcoming and supportive environment for patients within the healthcare center.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Pashto and Dari is required.
- Prior experience in healthcare interpreting is preferred, but not essential.
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those facing social challenges, is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from various backgrounds.
