About the Role
As a Functional MES Expert at Safran Transmission Systems, you will be part of the Manufacturing and Industrial Tools Competence Center team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Being the primary point of contact for the SAFRAN Transmission Systems business unit in the MES and Industry 4.0 domains, within the framework of the company's digital transformation.
- Being the point of contact for the industrial departments of Safran Transmission Systems for the implementation of a MES solution on our sites in France and Poland.
- Ensuring the master plan and assistance to the project manager for IT projects related to the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Ensuring the technical and functional maintenance in operational conditions (MCO) of the MES solution to be implemented.
- Providing advisory and expertise services in your domain.
Key Activities
Your activities will include:
- Ensuring the master plan and assistance to the project manager for IT projects, as well as the management of Manufacturing Execution projects in close collaboration with the Business Project Manager.
- Defining, with the business unit, the roadmap and budget for the next 5 years (medium-term plan) to carry out projects and evolutions in the Manufacturing Execution domain.
- Piloting IT projects related to MES, integrating other DSI services (Infra, Network, Security, Workstation, Data) and multiple stakeholders (Safran Architect, Safran STS Business Unit, Integrator...).
- Participating in project phases to integrate, deploy, and test the technical solution in the existing software and hardware environment.
- Participating in investments in your domain by providing expertise and specifications related to IT.
- Participating in the development of functional requirements.
- Following financial commitments.
Additional Responsibilities
As an MES expert, you may be required to take on the following activities:
- Supervising the construction and deployment of the solution in close collaboration with the project manager.
- Advising and accompanying business units in the implementation of the solution and related evolutions in the MES and production management domains.
- Collecting functional requirements and formalizing them into specifications.
- Creating and updating general functional or technical specifications.
- Performing unit tests on incidents or evolution requests before requesting validation from business units.
- Ensuring the reliability, robustness, and sustainability of proposed solutions.
- Collaborating with peers on Industry 4.0 topics.
Complementary Responsibilities
In the context of maintaining operational conditions in your domain:
- Treating or piloting incidents with solution editors to correct anomalies.
- Piloting external service providers.
- Piloting application evolutions: collecting and analyzing needs, defining and planning implementation.
- Renewing (or setting up) annual maintenance contracts for machines, servers, and associated software.
- Providing technical expertise to support teams (internal and external) to develop installation procedures and correct functional anomalies.
- Ensuring compliance with SSE rules and their applications, demonstrating exemplary behavior.

You will be responsible for:
- Implementing actions to permanently satisfy internal clients and authorized organizations.
- Being a driving force for optimizing and securing the functioning of industrial applications.
