About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst - Billing and Reporting Specialist to join our Finance team in Europe. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the achievement of our commercial objectives and be dedicated to ENGIE Impact France. You will be the daily contact managing all aspects of ENGIE Impact's billing activities for this scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facturation:
  • Review contracts, invoice clients, and manage follow-ups in close coordination with project managers and project controllers.
  • Follow project billing plans and applicable billing procedures for the entity.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of client invoices, as well as their timely issuance according to the required schedule.
  • Follow up on payment of invoices (relance process).
  • Analyze the aged balance, follow up on overdue accounts, and take measures to recover unpaid invoices.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Finance and Accounting team and the tax department to ensure that taxes are correctly reflected on all client invoices.
  • Revenue Recognition and Accounting:
  • Assist in defining accounting principles related to revenue recognition. Contribute to monthly closing exercises, particularly to record provisions and deferred revenue. Coordinate with the Shared Services Center accounting team to track client accounts. Contribute to required work during internal and external audits.
  • Preparation of analyses and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on revenues and billing for management, as well as ad-hoc reports requested by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establishing strong partnerships with other departments:
  • Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of client billing and revenue recognition systems. Resolve project billing procedure-related issues. Work closely with project controllers to ensure effective project billing tracking. Collaborate with project managers to resolve pending invoice issues. Provide support and training to project managers on applying the correct procedures.
  • Providing occasional support to other team members and actively contributing to creating a positive team spirit.

Requirements

  • You hold a Master's degree in finance, economics, or accounting.
  • You are fluent in English and French.
  • You have a strong knowledge of office applications (primarily Office 365, particularly Excel).
  • You are well-organized, meticulous, demanding, resistant to stress, and respectful of deadlines.
  • You are dynamic, resourceful, and recognized for your initiative.
  • You have strong communication and social collaboration skills - you can work effectively with people at different levels of an organization.
  • You are able to work quickly and accurately, paying close attention to details, in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
  • You are analytical and assertive in questioning things and clearly defending your points of view.
  • You are interested in the energy transition towards sustainable development.
