Mission Overview

The Rail Systems Department is seeking a seasoned technical specialist for catenary systems.

In the scope of both domestic and international projects, you will execute your responsibilities while ensuring adherence to technical standards, budget constraints, and client timelines. You will report directly to the Project Director and the Head of the Department.

Your responsibilities will encompass a range of activities from feasibility assessments to overseeing project execution, focusing on various electrification system initiatives, including conventional catenary, rigid systems, and multiple electrification types.

As a technical authority within your team and in collaboration with clients, you will be accountable for delivering high-quality outputs to Egis and our clients.

Additionally, you will be expected to mentor junior team members and share your expertise.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assessing client requirements and expectations, and preparing proposals
  • Contributing to cost assessments and responding to bids
  • Conducting technical evaluations, audits, and diagnostics
  • Engaging in technical studies within your areas of expertise, in partnership with other technical sectors of transport systems
  • Presenting and advocating for technical solutions to clients
  • Overseeing the technical, contractual, and financial dimensions of projects
  • Providing guidance and technical support to project design teams
  • Drafting tender documentation for construction firms (both technical and contractual components)
  • Participating in factory acceptance tests and on-site evaluations

Availability

Immediate availability for travel within France and internationally for short assignments.

Candidate Profile

A graduate in mechanical engineering with extensive knowledge of the railway sector, particularly in catenary systems.

You should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in railway engineering projects.

Your technical proficiency should encompass various catenary systems (LAC/PAC/Flexible catenary) and electrification types (V, 1.5kV, 25kV).

Experience across diverse projects will be beneficial for this role.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate project environments are essential for effective teamwork.

Proficiency in English is recommended.
