Position Overview
The Chief Sales Officer is a vital member of the Executive Committee, instrumental in defining and executing the sales strategy of the organization. The primary objective is to lead and manage the development and execution of the company's sales initiatives, establishing team sales targets to achieve the firm's strategic objectives in the medium term.
As the Chief Sales Officer, reporting directly to the CEO, you will spearhead substantial revenue growth across international markets, ensuring the attainment of ambitious individual and team goals while promoting a high-performance culture within a rapidly expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
SALES STRATEGY
- Formulate and enhance the overall sales strategy in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and objectives.
- Lead the establishment of both mid-term and short-term sales goals, including initiatives aimed at revenue and profit enhancement.
- Drive the execution of strategic initiatives through clear objectives, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with finance and other departments to create budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to ensure strong financial performance.
- Oversee sales engagements with Global Key Accounts and primary clients.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
- Assess the current sales team structure and propose necessary adjustments to foster an efficient and high-performing team.
- Communicate the organization's strategic vision and priorities to the sales team and stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide mentorship and opportunities for leadership development to team members, nurturing a high-performing and engaged workforce.
MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
- Stay informed about emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities.
- Assess potential partnerships and alliances to support strategic goals and enhance the organization's competitive stance.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, industry experts, and thought leaders to remain updated on best practices and emerging opportunities.
COLLABORATION WITH INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS
- Work with executive team members to integrate sales strategies across all functional areas of the organization.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of sales initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities, and making necessary adjustments.
- Provide guidance and support to department heads and project teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on sales-related matters, presenting insights, recommendations, and performance updates.
Candidate Profile (M/F/D)
- Candidates should have approximately 20-30 years of relevant experience in the packaging industry, preferably in leading functional roles (Sales, Marketing, Commercial Excellence) within top-tier global companies, possessing regional or global responsibilities and familiarity with key clients. A strong commercial leader with a results-oriented mindset is essential.
