Project Controls Specialist

Turner & Townsend Group is a leading provider of project controls services to the industrial sector. We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to join our team in delivering complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain project controls processes, templates, and tools to ensure accurate cost and schedule management.
- Monitor project performance against established baselines and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary.
- Collaborate with remote teams to ensure cost baselines are agreed and clients receive value for money.
- Guide and influence contractors to ensure they are progressing in line with schedules and cash flow parameters.
- Act as key point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
- Control costs using knowledge of conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, basic contingency principles, and procurement principles.
- Create and/or work within cost reports, summarizing financials in executive-level dashboards.
- Understand change management principles, lead agreed change management processes, and provide a platform for adding, tracking, monitoring, and approving change.
- Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile master project/programme schedules, agreeing baselines and critical paths.
- Understand procurement principles, collate lead times from vendors and clients into master schedules, and communicate prioritization of ordering materials and equipment to meet scheduled install dates.
- Work closely with clients to define vendor schedule requirements.
- Actively participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo to output quantitative impacts to overall project cost and schedule.
- Work closely with project teams to stay informed on project changes, incorporating and communicating these to project teams to allow for approvals in change management processes.
- Hold vendors accountable for required schedule updates and reporting to maintain timely and accurate updates of master schedules, ensuring schedules adhere to defined processes and quality expectations.
- Experience in project controls coordination in all phases of project lifecycle, including program, risk, and reporting, with project experience in very large complex construction projects, ideally in Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, Life Science sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in determining corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Reliable with ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
- Highly motivated and driven with passion for delivering to clients and ability to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written French & English required.
- Flexible mobility advantageous, Industrial, Science & Technology projects often away from home office locations.
