Join Our Team as a Tender & Project Purchasing Manager

Nexans is a leading global player in the cable industry, and we're looking for a skilled Tender & Project Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Generation & Transmission branch, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating all purchasing activities related to tenders and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate purchasing activities for tenders and projects in close cooperation with the Tender/Project Category Managers and the Tender & Project Teams.
  • Responsible for all purchasing related items, including supplier sourcing, selection, cost evaluation, negotiations, and more.
  • Prepare and maintain Procurement Plans (PP) identifying category purchases and other items in cooperation with project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Nexans purchasing procedures and Group Code of Ethics.
  • Participate in risk meetings by identifying risk links to the supply chain.
  • Ensure high-quality and efficient project execution by close follow-up of suppliers, contracts, and deliveries.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement/Category Management/Supply Chain with proven records of fruitful negotiations or commercial achievements.
  • Extensive negotiation skills, including LRN, e-auction, negotiation strategies, and physical auctions.
  • Knowledge of various sourcing and e-sourcing platforms.
  • Team player, organized, and able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and keep track of discussions.
  • Strong commercial and proactive mindset.
  • Ability to communicate and search for information.
  • Ability to develop a network both inside the company and externally.
  • High working capacity and resistant to high-pressure periods.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
