Nexans is a leading global player in the cable industry, and we're looking for a skilled Tender & Project Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Generation & Transmission branch, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating all purchasing activities related to tenders and projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate purchasing activities for tenders and projects in close cooperation with the Tender/Project Category Managers and the Tender & Project Teams.
- Responsible for all purchasing-related items, including supplier sourcing, selection, cost evaluation, negotiations, and more.
- Prepare and maintain Procurement Plans (PP) identifying category purchases and other items in cooperation with project teams.
- Ensure compliance with Nexans purchasing procedures and General Management Procedures (GMP).
- Participate in risk meetings by identifying risk links to the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with the Group Code of Ethics and implementation of Group rules and policies related to relations with agents and consultants, competition law, and the annual actions of the Ethics Compliance Program.
- Fluent in English.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement/Category Management/Supply Chain with proven records of fruitful negotiations or commercial achievements.
- Curious and willing to understand purchasing technical needs to discuss and challenge suppliers.
- Appetite to negotiate with suppliers and extensive negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of various sourcing and e-sourcing platforms.
- Team player, organized, and able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and keep track of discussions.
- Strong commercial and proactive mindset.
- Ability to communicate and search for information.
- Ability to develop a network both inside the company and externally.
- High working capacity and resistant to high-pressure periods.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Experience with SAP is obligatory.
- BI & Ariba Knowledge is an advantage.
