We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Innovation and New Business Development to join our team at Avery France. As a key member of our European Core Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our company's innovation strategy, cultivating partnerships, and spearheading new business ventures that align with our vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the company's innovation strategy, including identifying emerging trends, consumer and industry insights, market opportunities, and potential technologies that could impact the business.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the organization by promoting creativity, supporting collaboration, and experimentation.
  • Establish an innovation framework or process that encourages creative thinking and the generation of new ideas, manage the innovation pipeline, and oversee the development and commercialization of new products and services within and beyond the existing brand proposition.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and use insights to drive strategic decision-making and innovation efforts.
  • Work closely with R&D teams, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful execution of innovation projects and new business ventures.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of innovation and new business development initiatives.
  • Monitor progress, analyze results, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Regularly report key metrics to senior management.
  • Develop and manage budgets for innovation projects and new business ventures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 7-10 years) in innovation management, new business development, or a related field, with a track record of successfully launching new products or business ventures.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving complex initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior executives, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Fluent in French and English.
