Instrumentation and Controls Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Controls Engineer to join our team in Paris, France. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that deliverables are consistent with safe, cost-effective, and competitive projects, and conform to the client's EPC contract and selected codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that deliverables are consistent with safe, cost-effective, and competitive projects.
- Conform to the client's EPC contract and selected codes and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and verification of all Instrument, Controls discipline activities performed by the Contractor.
- Work with the Contractor during design, package bid evaluation to provide project technical integrity verification.
- Review of Engineering Contractor scopes of work and man-hour estimates for specialist discipline activities as required.
- Plan ahead to ensure part-time and shared client/IPMT specialist resources are requested well in advance as required.
- Provide input to the engineering content of key project detailed engineering documents produced by the Contractor.
- Review discipline relevant deviations raised by the Contractor and recommend as required to the client Lead I&C Engineer.
- Support integration activities with the Main Automation Contractor (MAC).
- Support the client PCC Engineering Manager with discipline-specific day-to-day detailed engineering technical challenges.
- Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experienced in contractor management and project delivery in the detailed engineering phase of a major project.
- Strong general experience with control & safety systems, Fire & Gas systems, digital security, valves, equipment packages controls, and interface.
- Ability to engage and work with project personnel, stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
- Recent experience of working with and influencing EPC contractors.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the project team, Contractors, and project leadership.
- Previous experience on major greenfield projects in an engineering capacity with large EPC Contractors.
