About the Position
Inria, a leading French research institute, is seeking a highly skilled researcher to join its team in the field of wireless communications. The successful candidate will contribute to the design of waveforms and channel codes for uncoordinated wireless communications, with applications to future terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new waveforms and channel codes for wireless systems with massive-scale over-the-air contention between uncoordinated radio devices.
- Develop robust multi-user decoding algorithms leveraging message-passing techniques.
- Derive analytical performance metrics and develop mathematical representations of involved waveforms.
- Collaborate with the research team to advance the state-of-the-art in wireless communications.
Requirements
- Master's degree in applied mathematics, digital communications, or equivalent.
- Strong background in probabilities, statistical signal processing, and information theory.
- Fluent spoken and written technical English.
- Familiarity with scientific programming (Matlab or Python).
