About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanic Technician to join our team at Veolia's Water Treatment Plant in Nîmes. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment facilities, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, and control systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure equipment is functioning properly and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues, often working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operation of the plant, including responding to emergencies and implementing process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of plant operations, including process control systems, chemical treatment, and wastewater management.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the water treatment or wastewater industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
