About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Europcar Mobility Group. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet their goals, timeline, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Develop project plans, define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and milestones. Create project schedules, resource allocation, and estimate project costs with the help of impacted teams/tribes.
- Project Governance: Participate in establishing project governance structures, policies, and procedures and apply them. Define project roles and responsibilities, ensure compliance with project management standards, and provide guidance and oversight to project teams.
- Resource/Team Management: Build and lead the project team in collaboration with tribes Product Managers and other P&T managers, including assigning roles and responsibilities, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Identify and manage project stakeholders, in collaboration with tribes Product Managers and other P&T managers, as well as clients, end-users, executives, and other relevant parties. Understand their expectations, maintain effective communication, and address concerns or conflicts that may arise.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Conduct risk assessments, create risk response plans, and continuously monitor and manage risks throughout the project.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial resources are effectively utilized. Create budget estimates, monitor costs, approve expenses, and maintain financial records. Ensure project budget is respected, with any deviation properly documented and additional budget requested.
- Quality Management: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Establish quality control processes, conduct quality reviews, and implement quality assurance measures throughout the project.
- Communication and Reporting: Facilitate effective communication between project team members, stakeholders, and executives. Prepare regular project status reports, conduct meetings, and ensure relevant information is disseminated to all parties involved.
- Project Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation, such as project plans, requirements documents, meeting minutes, and project artifacts. This helps in tracking project progress, ensuring transparency, and providing a reference for future use. Ensure project documentation is properly created and updated by the project team.
- Change Management: Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and resources. Document change requests, assess their impact, and coordinate the necessary actions to address the change. Maintain a tracker of changes, and communicate the changes at the right level.
- Project Monitoring and Control: Monitor project progress against the established plan, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and take corrective actions to ensure project goals are met. Manage changes, issues, and scope creep while maintaining project quality and timeline.
- Procurement and Vendor Management: Coordinate and manage procurement activities related to the project, such as selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and overseeing vendor performance.
- Closure and Evaluation: Manage project closure activities, including conducting project reviews, documenting lessons learned, and facilitating the transition of project deliverables to the operations or maintenance phase.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and drive organizational learning from project experiences.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in project management, preferably in a product/agile at scale organization. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 8 years of proven experience in project management.
- Significant experience of transversal orchestration/PMO in a product/agile at scale organization.
- Good knowledge of product and project methodologies, including compliance to methodologies, processes, and standards.
- Expertise in delivering projects and getting things done on time and within budget, operating in different geographies, and leading international teams.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to change.
- Overall strong experience in IT, having worked with various systems spanning new digital technologies.
- Proficient project planning and execution skills, including the ability to anticipate and make projections based on the current status.
- Experience managing people and being an operational leader.
- Intermediate financial skills.
- Stakeholder management and communication expertise, including the ability to communicate regularly and accurately, including to C-level management.
- Language skills: French and English (spoken, read, written), Spanish is a plus.
- Federative personality, able to coach, motivate their team, create a true team spirit, and obtain the support of all the actors of the project.
- Significant business acumen, beyond technology-savviness.
- Able to work in full autonomy, demonstrate pro-activity, and have good analytical skills to address challenges, make informed decisions, and drive solutions.
- Good flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies, changing business landscapes, and dynamic market conditions.
