Position Overview
Primary Responsibilities:
The Surgical Robotics Territory Specialist (SRTS) will collaborate closely with the Clinical Sales Manager to acquire comprehensive knowledge of our operations, including technical, clinical, and sales components. The SRTS will train to become an expert in da Vinci Surgery across various surgical specialties, focusing on developing robotic surgery programs within the designated territory. The initial year will emphasize technical and clinical training, while the subsequent year will shift towards sales responsibilities. The SRTS will enhance the utilization of existing da Vinci Surgical Systems by leading product demonstrations and sales initiatives in a specific region.
This role is developmental and demands a high level of commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Support - Act as a resource for the surgical team by offering guidance, insights, and training on the da Vinci Surgical System.
- Product Demonstrations/In-Services - Conduct all technical in-services for clients, including operating room staff and surgeons.
- Sales Activities - Assist the Clinical Sales Manager in achieving quarterly sales objectives by influencing customer behavior through product demonstrations, in-services, and training sessions.
- Customer Support - Support and coordinate, under the guidance of local sales management, regional sales and marketing events that promote system awareness and procedure adoption through demonstrations and sales activities.
- Administrative Duties - Efficiently manage administrative responsibilities, including reporting sales and procedures, documenting outcomes of sales activities, submitting expense reports, and completing assigned online training modules using company software.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- At least 1 year of sales experience or leadership experience is required.
- Proficiency in English and the local language as necessary.
- Strong ambition and work ethic.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
- Proven capability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- A degree in sales is advantageous.
