In a fast-paced technological landscape, the Technical Architecture Sub-Directorate plays a crucial role in the digital transformation initiatives and system evolution projects for the Revenue Collection Branch. Dedicated to a Service-Oriented Architecture (S.O.A.) approach, our applications leverage a mediation framework (ESB, API Management, MOM, etc.), which is central to our information system. We aim to innovate the Kafka event mediation solution while adhering to DevOps and Agile methodologies.

As part of the Architecture, Mediation, and Technical Expertise division, and in close collaboration with the Product Owner, you will become a member of a newly formed technology development team, contributing to the advancement of the Kafka component and its surrounding ecosystem. The technical and application challenges that the team will tackle in the upcoming years are diverse:

  • Adopting Agile practices within the team
  • Exploring new Service-Driven Architecture (SDA) and micro-services frameworks
  • Integrating DevOps principles throughout the product lifecycle
  • Incorporating cutting-edge FullStack technologies into our offerings
  • Leading a cross-functional initiative to standardize and share development practices within the ACT sector.

The Kafka product serves as a foundational element in application architectures for business projects, facilitating intra and inter-application event exchanges.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be part of the mediation team responsible for:

  • Enhancing the Apache Kafka infrastructure
  • Automating the installation and updates of the event framework (using tools like Ansible, Vault, etc.)
  • Implementing observability features within the Kafka product (using Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Creating documentation and tutorials on best practices surrounding the Kafka product for the E&D sub-directorate teams
  • Developing operational scripts.

With your mentor's guidance, you will engage in the design, evolution, and maintenance of the Kafka product, participating in various Agile ceremonies.

Key Tasks Include:

  • Conducting experiments and presenting findings to the product team
  • Engaging in collaborative development (e.g., Ansible playbooks)
  • Ensuring the quality of unit tests and regression tests
  • Integrating components of the Apache Kafka ecosystem in line with URSSAF Caisse Nationale IT standards.

As an integrator of Open Source components, you will work collaboratively in a RedHat Linux environment (utilizing tools such as Jira, GitLab, AWX, etc.).
