Shape the Future of Sustainability with Mazars
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Climate Risk Consultant to join our growing Sustainability division. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding clients through the complexities of climate change and transition risks, helping them build resilient and sustainable business models.
Your Responsibilities:- Conduct in-depth analyses of transition risks across various sectors and industries.
- Evaluate diverse climate scenarios (SSPs, NGFS, IEA) to assess potential impacts on clients' operations and financial performance.
- Develop robust financial models to quantify the economic implications of climate change on P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Provide forward-looking insights into emerging market trends and reputational risks associated with climate change.
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement effective policies and strategies for mitigating operational and financial risks related to climate change.
- Advise clients on aligning their business strategies with sustainability goals, fostering innovation, and creating new value propositions in a low-carbon economy.
- Establish comprehensive operational models and governance structures to integrate climate risk management seamlessly into clients' existing processes.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a strong academic background in engineering, business, or a related field. You should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a consulting role specializing in climate change and transition risks.
- In-depth knowledge of climate scenarios (SSPs, NGFS, IEA) and their implications for businesses.
- Expertise in economic and financial modeling techniques relevant to climate risk assessment.
- Experience in developing climate roadmaps, regulatory frameworks, and reporting standards such as TCFD and CSRD.
- A proven track record of success in operational and economic modeling, value chain analysis, and risk management.
