Job Title: Senior Outerwear Designer
Job Summary:
The Senior Outerwear Designer will be responsible for leading the design team in creating premium outerwear products that meet the Canada Goose brand standards. This role will work closely with the Creative Director to develop and execute seasonal concepts, manage design calendars, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute seasonal design concepts in collaboration with the Creative Director
- Manage design calendars and ensure timely delivery of designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches
- Lead the design team in creating premium outerwear products
- Partner with Merchandising and Product Development teams to ensure designs meet business objectives
- Enter and update design data in PLM system
- Communicate designs, BOMs, and updates to PDE partners
- Mentor and develop junior designers on technical aspects of outerwear creation
- Travel to vendors and attend trade shows as needed
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of applicable working design experience within an Apparel/Outerwear Design role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
- Expert-level knowledge of Apparel/Outerwear product construction
- Expert knowledge of materials (fabrics and trims)
- Excellent presentation skills of both design and final presentation
- Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills
- Prior experience with Product Line Management (PLM) required
