Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to lead our Platform Engineering team and drive the improvement of our delivery pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Platform Engineering: Lead the development and implementation of our cloud-based platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability.
  2. Delivery Pipelines: Improve our delivery pipelines to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  3. Monitoring and Performance: Monitor platform availability and performance using Kibana, Logic Monitor, and Open Telemetry.
  4. Support and Incident Management: Process support tickets, determine incident root causes, and add new alerts to our monitoring platform.
  5. Cloud Migration: Work on the migration to public cloud using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to continuously improve their code delivery pipelines using Ansible and Jenkins.
  7. Technology Exploration: Explore new technologies, imagine how we could leverage them, and be aware of critical security issues.
  8. Team Leadership: Make lead decisions for guiding the team in sprints.
Requirements
  1. Cloud Experience: 2+ years of experience building pipelines and/or monitoring production environments in the cloud and on premises.
  2. Technical Skills: Strong experience working in Windows/IIS/SQLServer environments, good experience working in Unix/Linux environments, and a good knowledge of networking systems.
  3. Monitoring and Metric Tools: Experience with monitoring/metric tools.
  4. Code Security and Quality: Care about code security, quality, simplicity, and performance.
  5. Automation: Have a real passion for automation.
  6. Communication: Effective communication skills, particularly within a team environment.
  7. Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting ability and the ability to learn quickly.
Bonus Points
  1. Cybersecurity: Previous experience or background in cybersecurity and PCI-DSS.
  2. High-Scale Systems: Experience working at high scale with systems like Apache Kafka, ElasticSearch, or others.
  3. Kubernetes and CI Tools: Experience working with Kubernetes and CI tools.
  4. Open-Source Contributions: Contributions to a major open-source project.
