Position Overview:
The Altair Rapidminer platform integrates machine learning and AI solutions, enabling swift access to low-latency granular data essential for your analysis. By offering transparency and automation through features like AutoML and explainable AI, we enhance model creation, allowing more time for analysis and reliable outcomes. Our code-free, adaptable approach empowers you to configure and refine models without restrictions, giving you control over their development.
We are in search of an intern for a six-month period to join our technical team. The objective of this internship is to investigate and propose solutions utilizing data analysis and machine learning across various sectors. The intern will collaborate with technical, sales, and marketing teams to aid in expanding market penetration through the application of top-tier data analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary aim of this internship is to compile a database of AI application examples addressing cross-functional and non-CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) challenges. These challenges may include:
- Customer segmentation
- Sales or demand forecasting
- Fraud detection
- Price optimization and inventory management
A comprehensive literature review of the most effective strategies for tackling these challenges will be necessary to identify the best demonstrator for each scenario. This research will utilize both internal resources, such as the RapidMiner academy, and external sources. Publicly available and representative datasets will be required for each application, sourced from platforms like Kaggle or created as needed.
Subsequently, a standardized data analysis methodology will be developed for each case, including:
- Data Discovery
- Data Cleaning
- Selection of the Most Suitable Model
- Model Training and Deployment
Videos, presentations, and training materials will be produced for each case to facilitate seamless onboarding. You will be expected to explore the capabilities of the latest versions of Altair's tools and remain informed about advancements to identify future opportunities.
Expectations:
- Establish an industry-specific application catalog, including:
- Realistic (public) datasets
- Application demonstrators
- Data preparation, model building, and data visualization (static or real-time)
- Videos and presentations
To achieve this, the intern will receive training in tools such as Monarch, Panopticon, and RapidMiner. By the conclusion of this internship, you will have developed strong competencies in addressing data analysis and business intelligence-oriented AI challenges.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Independent, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Final year of a Master's program or in the last year of an engineering, data science, or business school program, seeking an end-of-studies internship.
- Knowledge of data science principles.
- Strong understanding of data-related challenges.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Highly curious and eager to learn.
- Effective teamwork and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with the retail industry.
- Proficiency in programming and automation (TCL, Python, etc.).
- Experience with digital data analysis tools (Dataiku, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx).
