Job Title: Telecoms Projects Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Projects Engineer to join our team in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecom systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical specifications for telecom equipment standardization.
- Develop procedures for preventative and system exploitation.
- Conduct technical engineering studies for telecom system design and installation.
- Supervise project deployment and ensure compliance with GS TEL installation rules.
- Prepare technical dossiers for RFQ and participate in contract technical bid evaluation.
- Carry out routine telecom assessment and maintenance visits.
- Participate in quality performance meetings with third-party contractors.
- Develop capacity of Nigeria Company's personnel in project management and exploitation of critical production systems.
- Execute project (EPCC) in the affiliate and ensure seamless handover to operations team.
- Propose improvements to QoS provided by telecom contractors.
- Recommend new evolutions regarding hardware infrastructure.
- Prepare system procedures for technical exploitation and end-user usage.
- Provide operation and maintenance support for various field systems and equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum university degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in telecommunication, network engineering, operation, and maintenance.
- Good reporting, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Knowledge and use of computer drawing and office applications.
