Project Controls Specialist

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to join our team in delivering high-value, complex projects in the Advanced Manufacturing, Battery, and Pharma sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain project controls processes, templates, and tools to ensure accurate cost and schedule management.
- Monitor project performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to drive best value for clients.
- Lead the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary.
- Collaborate with remote teams to ensure cost baselines are agreed and clients receive value for money.
- Guide and influence contractors to ensure they are progressing in line with schedules and cash flow parameters.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
- Control costs using knowledge of conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, and basic contingency principles.
- Create and maintain cost reports, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
- Understand and lead change management processes, providing a platform for adding, tracking, monitoring, and approving changes.
- Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile master project/programme schedules.
- Understand procurement principles, collate lead times from vendors and clients, and communicate prioritization of ordering materials and equipment.
- Work closely with clients to define vendor schedule requirements.
- Participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to output quantitative impacts on project cost and schedule.
- Experience in project controls coordination across all phases of the project lifecycle, including program, risk, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to determine corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Reliable with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to clients.
- Strong verbal and written French and English required.
- Flexible mobility advantageous, as Industrial, Science, and Technology projects often require travel.
