Role Summary

We are excited to present an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC for the position of Analyzer Technician.

The primary responsibility involves conducting daily oversight, corrective and routine maintenance, periodic verification and calibration, as well as troubleshooting of on-line analyzers and related sample conditioning and data acquisition systems in accordance with established protocols.

The equipment you will work with includes various on-line process monitoring analyzers such as Gas Chromatographs, Moisture analyzers, Hydrogen Sulphide detectors, Total Sulphur analyzers, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the designated Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform maintenance on on-line analyzers and sampling systems, including troubleshooting, validation, and calibration to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Ensure adherence to Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) requirements and maintain accurate records of validation/calibration data and maintenance activities.
  • Identify and report any irregularities, diagnosing and repairing faults and breakdowns as necessary.

Candidate Profile

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

Educational Background: A minimum of Higher Secondary School Education, complemented by a technical diploma or certificate from a recognized institution.

Relevant Experience: At least 5 years of maintenance experience with on-line analyzers in diverse oil and gas processing or petrochemical environments.

Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with standard Microsoft business software packages is advantageous.

Language Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.

Job-Specific Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of field instruments, gas and liquid sample conditioning techniques, and analytical principles.
  • Hands-on experience with specific gas chromatographs and analyzers is preferred.
  • Proficient in the calibration of various gas and liquid analyzers and the use of testing equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to sample systems and analyzers effectively.
