Join Our Team as an ESG Sector Analyst

Candriam is seeking a highly skilled ESG Sector Analyst to join our team. As an ESG Sector Analyst, you will play a critical role in conducting research on corporate issuers and contributing to the development of our ESG Analysis and Rating framework.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on corporate issuers to identify ESG risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain our ESG Analysis and Rating framework to integrate ESG analysis into the investment process.
  • Engage with corporate issuers on ESG topics and collaborate with our Stewardship Team on collaborative initiatives.
  • Work closely with fellow analysts and financial analysts to assess the materiality of ESG factors on corporate issuers' long-term value.
  • Conduct research on ESG-related topics and identify trends to support ESG thought leadership.
  • Produce high-quality ESG articles, reports, and presentations to service our international offices and clients.
  • Participate in the fund management committee for our ESG Thematic funds.
Requirements
  • Master's degree.
  • Good understanding of finance is essential, but can be acquired through experience.
  • Understanding of and experience in sustainable investing is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of expertise in ESG Research and/or financial analysis at an asset manager, investment bank, or other financial institution.
  • Strong interest in and basic understanding of ESG topics and their relevance for financial market analysis, valuation, and risk modeling.
  • Ability to convey ideas convincingly.
  • Excellent team player with a strong writing and communication skillset.
  • High level of energy and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Aptitude for working with and manipulating data for analysis.
  • Native speaker English or French, with high proficiency in English.
