Are you a skilled FPSO Hull Mooring Engineer seeking a new opportunity in France? This role offers a chance to engage in critical engineering tasks within the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and validate mooring engineering activities executed by the EPSCC Contractor and its subcontractors.
- Review mooring strength and fatigue analyses, as well as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for equipment and hull local structures.
- Assess design mooring activities for various conditions, ensuring compatibility with hydrodynamic loads and other interfacing disciplines.
- Evaluate the mooring design, including its installation philosophy.
- Examine riser design and its associated pull-in and installation procedures.
- Oversee the design and specification of mooring equipment.
- Monitor the fabrication and delivery of mooring equipment.
- Plan the transport of mooring equipment, including loadouts.
- Review installation procedures for the mooring system.
- Supervise the FPSO hook-up procedures for the mooring system.
- Manage the installation and hook-up processes.
- Timely review and provide feedback on engineering documents related to mooring system deliverables.
- Collaborate with other engineering specialists and stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Classification Approval for the mooring system.
- Verify that construction activities align with the design specifications.
- During execution, manage site queries, technical queries, and non-conformance reports.
- Respond proactively to engineering clarifications and unexpected technical challenges.
- Provide comprehensive reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Hull Management team and suggesting remedial actions.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Requirements:
- Exhibit exemplary behavior regarding HSE practices.
- Implement HSE requirements within the engineering discipline.
Technical Requirements:
- Advanced expertise in naval architecture and mooring engineering for oil and gas projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
