ENAC, École Nationale de l'Aviation Civile, is seeking a highly skilled PhD Thesis Researcher to contribute to the development of 6G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) communication systems. As a researcher in this field, you will investigate the use of 6G NTN as an alternative positioning solution, focusing on signal processing and building a solid base for precise analysis of PVT performance and potential algorithms.
The proposed PhD thesis is in the field of Navigation using 6G NTN communication systems. This research aims to evaluate potential positioning signal candidates for 6G NTN systems, analyze the impact of different satellite parameters and deployment scenarios on positioning accuracy, and propose acquisition and tracking algorithms suited to the particularities of LEO satellites and 6G signals.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in electrical/telecommunications/electronic engineering with a background in estimation theory and signal processing. Knowledge in GNSS and aerospace systems is highly appreciated. ENAC facilitates the integration of workers with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate potential positioning signal candidates for 6G NTN systems
- Analyze the impact of different satellite parameters and deployment scenarios on positioning accuracy
- Propose acquisition and tracking algorithms suited to the particularities of LEO satellites and 6G signals
Requirements:
