About the Job
This role is responsible for setting up and monitoring the Project Quality Management system, ensuring proactive quality support to the Project team to meet Client and quality requirements and in accordance with the Project Quality strategy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Proactively interacting and influencing members of the Project Management team for the implementation of an effective and efficient Project Quality Management System at head office, vendor shops, sites/yards, and other centers involved in the project execution according to project standards and client expectations.
- Leading, developing, and implementing project-wide system audits and quality plans as validated by the line manager.
- Maintaining strong relationships with the Client quality representatives to report progress and handle inquiries and issues.
- Promoting a Quality culture on the project/site, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards and systems.
- Participating actively in the risk assessment workshops on the project.
- Implementing an effective corrective and preventive action system and tracking closure of NCRs and waiver requests.
- Assisting in the definition of project objectives and metrics (KPI), analyzing performance, proposing corrective actions.
- Leading or participating in investigations to resolve quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring they are effectively executed.
- Coordinating a functional quality network between operating units on the project to ensure alignment.
- Facilitating the Lesson Learned and Feedback process throughout the project lifecycle to ensure implementation of Lesson Learned and the capture and communication of feedbacks and best practices.
- Assisting the discipline teams in the development and approval of the project procedures, including Discipline Quality Plan.
- Providing quality training & awareness on quality activities planned for the project.
- Ensuring proper implementation of criticality rating system and surveillance for procured items.
- Ensuring that a system is in place whereby only approved suppliers and subcontractors are used.
- Ensuring the project Client Satisfaction Surveys are carried out as planned.
- Helping in defining project objectives and metrics (KPI), ensuring reporting is in place, analyzing performance, proposing corrective or improvement actions, and reporting.
- May assist in the development of ITPs and review of site procedures and QCPs.
About You
- Technician or graduate engineer with a specialization in Quality/Quality Control Management, with significant experience within industrial projects encompassing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
- Experience as Project Quality Manager, with experience in Yards/Construction sites.
- ISO 9001:2015 Auditor certification.
- Knowledge/experience of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience within a formal Management System and in people management.
- Team spirit, ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent in English (French will be appreciated).
