Position Overview:
As a legal advisor within the JOF division, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Structuring and negotiating financing transactions throughout all phases of the project lifecycle;
- Reviewing and analyzing various agreements pertinent to financing activities;
- Offering expert legal counsel to operational teams and senior leadership;
- Establishing the legal framework for AFD's engagements across diverse nations;
- Investigating legal matters related to project development, organization, and execution;
- Monitoring and assessing regulations relevant to AFD and its collaborators;
- Assisting in restructuring efforts and legal disputes associated with financing activities;
- Delivering legal training and disseminating best practices;
- Notifying management regarding potential legal risks.
Candidate Profile:
We seek individuals with robust legal expertise in commercial law, contractual agreements, credit regulations, or banking law. Experience within a financial institution or legal practice, ideally in an international setting, is essential. Familiarity with finance or project financing is advantageous.
Exceptional writing and negotiation abilities, fluency in English (Spanish proficiency is preferred), and a Master's degree in Law or its equivalent are critical.
