Job Opportunity

You will develop and implement cutting-edge image reconstruction methods for coherent 3D X-ray microscopy to overcome current frontiers of spatial resolution and contrast. Your focus will be on precise phase reconstruction approaches in X-ray holography and near-field ptychography. This position is part of the ERC Brilliance project, aiming to resolve and analyze neural circuits in meaningful brain tissue volumes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement image reconstruction methods for coherent 3D X-ray microscopy
  • Focus on precise phase reconstruction approaches in X-ray holography and near-field ptychography
  • Work closely with members of the nano-imaging beamline, ID16A

Requirements

  • PhD in physics, electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent
  • Comfortable with programming in Python, C/C++, Octave, or equivalent
  • Experience with image reconstruction in coherent X-ray microscopy, in particular holography and ptychography
  • Self-driven and collegial
  • General interest in neurosciences would be appreciated

Working Conditions
